My husband and I were shocked and disappointed when we read the article about Friendly’s closure (“Friendly’s shutters Augusta restaurant,” April 9). We will miss everything about being there, especially the wait staff. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly.
We have had well-prepared meals as well as ice cream, especially ice cream sodas, there. Two of the more experienced staff plus the manager were really good at making the sodas. They knew our orders for these when we walked through the door.
To all of the staff who were there, please know that you are appreciated, loved and in our prayers. We are confident that with your work ethic that you will find work soon; hopefully with good hours and better salaries. Thanks to all.
