READFIELD — Nick Robertson and Nick Grard helped lift the Lawrence baseball team to perhaps its biggest win of the season Tuesday afternoon.

Robertson pitched a complete game and Grard had a double among three hits, helping the Bulldogs take a 5-2 win over Lewiston in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action.

Lawrence, which was coming off of a 6-5 win over Maranacook, improved to 4-2. Lewiston fell to 3-2. Lawrence scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth to break a 2-2 tie.

Zach Nickerson had a pair of hits for Lawrence.

MARANACOOK 10, LEAVITT 2: Jay Lauter ran his record to 3-0 while pitching six innings and striking out 12 to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC victory in Turner.

Mitch Root was the heavy hitter with two hits, including a double, and five RBI, while Thomas Trafton also had a double.

Darin Hewitt homered for Leavitt (1-3).

 

WINSLOW 9, MOUNT VIEW 3: Ethan LaChance pitched a complete game and helped his own cause with a pair of singles as the Black Raiders earned a KVAC victory in Winslow.

Cody Ivey had three hits for Winslow (1-3), while Cam Winslow had a triple among two hits.

Noah Jacobs had a pair of hits for the Mustangs (0-4).

 

SOFTBALL

WINTHROP 13, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1, 6 innings: The Ramblers scored nine runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the Mountain Valley Conference win in Winthrop.

Layne Audet struck out 11 and allowed one hit in the win. Katie Perkins hit a pair of doubles for Winthrop (2-0), while Sam Allen tripled and Lydia Rice doubled for the Ramblers.

LEWISTON 12, LAWRENCE 3: Gemma Landry had a home run and a double, leading the Blue Devils to the KVAC victory in Fairfield.

Landry drove in three runs and had four hits for Lewiston (2-3), while Madison Laflamme also homered and Charlotte Cloutier had three hits.

Taylor Wilkie tripled and had three hits for Lawrence (1-4), while Gretta Knowlton also collected three hits.

 

OAK HILL 12, CARRABEC 0, 5 innings: Abby Nadeau doubled and tripled among her three hits, leading the Raiders to a five-inning win in MVC play in Wales.

Miranda Kramer doubled and had two hits for Oak Hill (4-0), while Sadie Waterman and Mahala Smith had two hits apiece. Molly Flaherty struck out eight.

Shayanne Holmes pitched for Carrabec (0-1).

 

BOYS LACROSSE

LEWISTON 9, MESSALONSKEE 3: Sam Payne scored four goals to lead the Blue Devils the KVAC victory in Oakland.

Logan Michaud (three) and Tanner Cortes also scored for Lewiston (4-1), while Hunter Steele made seven saves.

Luke Buck had two goals and Cam Goff scored one for the Eagles (1-4). Wade Carter made 18 saves.

GIRLS LACROSSE

CONY 6, BANGOR 5: Kami Lambert scored four goals to lead Cony to the KVAC victory in Bangor.

Sydney Avery and Faith Leathers-Pouliot had a goal apiece for Cony (2-1), while Sarah Cook-Wheeler made seven saves.

Kate Ruhlin had two goals for Bangor (0-3), while Addison Nickles, Claire Thompson and Libby Fleming had a goal apiece. Erika Robinson made 15 saves.

 

MESSALONSKEE 17, MORSE 6: Katie Seekins scored five goals and added two assists, guiding the Eagles to the KVAC victory in Bath.

Katlyn Smith had three goals, Chloe Tilley added two and Sadie Colby made 10 saves for Messalonskee (1-2).

Mrija Medenica scored three goals for Morse (1-2). Olivia Chabot and Abby Sreden combined for 16 saves.
