FARMINDALE — Isabella Marino had a pair of doubles and Sarah Benner had two singles as the Hall-Dale softball team doubled up Carrabec with a 10-5 win in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday.

The Bulldogs (3-1) led just 5-3 before scoring six runs in the sixth to pull away.

Nevaeh Burnham went 3 for 4 with a double to lead the Cobras (1-4).

 

LEWISTON 16, MT. BLUE 1: Gemma Landry, Jordyn Rubin and Madison Mercier each had three RBIs as Lewiston rolled past Mt. Blue in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game.

Landry had three hits, including a home run and a double. Rubin also had three hits while Mercier had two. Skylar Gelinas and Isabelle Cormier also had two hits. Kallie May drove in a pair as well.

Cormier struck out six and allowed four hits for Lewiston (4-3).

Jacelyn Daggett had the lone RBI for the Cougars (3-3).

 

SKOWHEGAN 12, LAWRENCE 0: Skowhegan jumped on Lawrence for six runs in the first inning and never looked back en route to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A victory.

Sydney Ames and Amber Merry combined on a no-hitter for Skowhegan (7-0). Ames struck out nine and also doubled.

Sydney Reed tripled and singled for the victors as well.

CONY 13, CAMDEN HILLS 0, 6 INN: The Rams scored four in the second and four more in the sixth to put the KVAC game in Augusta away.

Jaden Bowley had a pair of doubles for Cony (3-3), while Sam Melland, Gaby McGwire and Tanley Tibbetts all got in on the extra-base hit parade. Each of them finished with two hits as part of the Rams’ 14-hit attack.

Camden Hills dropped to 0-7.

 

MARANACOOK 7, MCI 5: Brooke Stratton and Amanda Goucher each smacked doubles to lead the Black Bears in Readfield.

Natalie Costa earned the win in the circle for the Black Bears (5-1).

Gracie Moore hit a home run for MCI (2-4).

 

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 10, MT. ABRAM 2: Jenna Martin’s two-run double in the fifth inning helped break open the game for Spruce Mountain in MVC softball action.

Calley Baker had three hits for the Phoenix (2-5) while Haley Turcotte, Emily Castonguay and Adelle Foss each had two hits.

Foss had 12 strikeouts in the circle.

Edilia Stinchfield had a double for the Roadrunners (1-5).

 

MESSALONSKEE 4, BANGOR 2: Taylor Baker drove in Brooke Martin with a double in the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie and lifting the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Bangor.

Danielle Hall and Martin had two hits apiece, and Ava Ardito and Martin also had doubles. Hall struck out 10 for Messalonskee (6-2).

Rae Barron had two hits for Bangor (4-5).

NOKOMIS 13, WINSLOW 12: The Warriors scored twice in the bottom of the fifth thanks to some sloppy Black Raider defense to take the lead for good in the KVAC win in Newport.

Alexis Ellis, Amanda King and Maya Cooney each had two hits for Nokomis (2-4),

Leah Knight had a pair of hits for Winslow (2-4).

CONY 6, CAMDEN HILLS 5: Kyle Douin’s RBI single with one-out in the bottom of the seventh broke the tie and lifted the Rams to the KVAC win in Augusta.

Riley Geyer and James Presti each had two singles for Cony (4-3), with Geyer earning the win in relief after pitching a scoreless top of the seventh.

Camden Hills fell to 2-5.

 

ERSKINE 8, GARDINER 3: Alan Jackson had a pair of hits, including a double, as the Eagles grabbed the KVAC B win in Gardiner.

Braden Soule also had a pair of hits for Erskine (5-3), which took advantage of four Gardiner errors in the win.

Andrew Kelley had three hits for Gardiner (1-6).

 

MARANACOOK 9, MCI 6: Down 3-1, the Black Bears took the lead for good with a three-run third, then added two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth en route to the KVAC B victory in Readfield.

Hunter Glowa pitched five innings to pick up the win, and also had three hits for Maranacook (5-1). Jarred Schmidt had two hits, including a double, and Wyatt Lambert also had a two-bagger.

Isaac Bussell had a double among two hits for MCI (2-5), and Joe Curtis struck out 10.

HALL-DALE 26, BOOTHBAY 0: Max Byron had two doubles and five RBIs, helping to guide the Bulldogs (4-0) to the MVC win in Farmingdale.

Jacob Brown had a double among three hits and four RBIs for Hall-Dale, while Alec Byron and Akira Warren (double) had two hits apiece. Austin Stebbins and Josh Nadeau also had doubles.

 

LEAVITT 13, WATERVILLE 12: An 11-run fifth-inning turned a wild game upside down, leading the Hornets to the KVAC win in a contest featuring a total of 39 hits in Waterville.

Austin Taylor, Darin Hewitt and Oren Shaw each had a pair of doubles in the win for Leavitt (2-4).

David Barre had a double and a triple for Waterville (3-4), which pounded out 20 hits in the loss.

MESSALONSKEE 6, BANGOR 4: The Eagles scored two runs in the seventh after the Rams tied the game with three in the sixth, setting themselves up for the KVAC A win in Bangor.

Andrew Mayo had the go-ahead single and also got the win on the mound. Ben Hellen and Jake Perry had two hits apiece for Messalonskee (4-3), and Carter Lambert had a double.

Noah Missbrenner had two hits for the Rams (2-6).

 

DIRIGO 19, CARRABEC/MADISON 1: Dallas Berry was perfect at the plate with a double and three singles as Dirigo routed Carrabec/Madison in six innings in baseball action Monday afternoon.

Wyatt Lufkin had a three-run double in the third inning, and added another hit and an RBI for the Cougars (3-2). Pitcher Cole Brown struck out 10 in five innings of work for Dirigo.

The pitcher Eric Wescott had two hits, including a double, and the lone RBI for Madison/Carrabec in the losing effort.

 

BOYS LACROSSE

 

WAYNFLETE 11, GARDINER 2: Miles Lipton had four goals to power the offense for the Flyers (2-2) as they flew out to a 9-0 halftime lead and handled the Tigers (2-2) in Portland.

Harry Millspaugh recorded a hat trick for Waynflete, Zane Moorhead had two goals, while Sam Whipple and Mitchell Adams also scored.

Tanner Hebert and Cam Michaud had goals for Gardiner.

 

GIRLS LACROSSE

 

LAWRENCE 20, MCI/NOKOMIS 13: Nora Buck, Lexi Lewis and Savannah Weston each scored four goals to lead the Bulldogs to a win in Fairfield.

Elsie Suttie scored two goals, while Emily Hersey and Harley Hamlin each added goals for Lawrence (1-3).

Meagan Whitten scored nine goals for MCI/Nokomis (0-7).
