Augusta-Area Drop-off Day for hazardous waste, e-waste, paint and document shredding will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18, at the Augusta Public Works, 55 North St., Augusta.
The event is open to residents of Augusta, Belgrade, Chelsea, Farmingdale, Fayette, Gardiner, Hallowell, Randolph, Readfield, Sidney and Wayne.
For program details, eligible residents can contact their city/town office, public works department or visit AugustaMaine.gov.
Given the popularity of the event, be prepared to wait in line during the busy times.
