OAKLAND — Brooke Martin slugged her third home run of the year and added a double, leading the Messalonskee softball team (8-2) to a 15-2 victory in five innings over Mt. Ararat in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game Tuesday.
Danielle Hall and Hannah Cummings each smacked doubles for Messalonskee (8-2). Cummings, Martin and Kristen Dube had three hits apiece, and Leah Smith had two.
Hall earned the win in the circle for Messalonskee, striking out seven batters.
Emily Wormwood doubled and Megan Reed struck out six for Mt. Ararat (1-10).
