Madison’s Christmas celebration’s Chowder Cook-Off is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at American Legion – Tardiff-Belanger Post 39, 20 South Maple St., Madison.
The event, sponsored by MAC Residential Services Inc., will provide dinner to the Madison community among many other local events happening during the Christmas celebration.
There will be two categories of chowder: Fish/seafood and vegetable. Popular vote will determine the first-, second-, and third-place winners of each category.
Admission will cost $3 at the door, which will include tasting all of the chowders, biscuits and dessert.
All proceeds will be donated to the “MAC Rockets” Special Olympics Team and Special Olympics Maine Somerset/Upper Kennebec Counties.
