William “Woody” Fox Judson

NEWPORT – William “Woody” Fox Judson died due to complications related to diabetes on May 5, 2020, at a Bangor hospital.  He was born November 16, 1956 in Berlin, N.H., the son of William H. and Geraldine M. (Hodgdon) Judson.

For 35 years, Woody enjoyed his life on the road as a truck driver. One of his proudest accomplishments was being owner of Leewood Trans.  He was especially fond of spending time in the “Big Apple” in his younger days.  His favorite past times were spent with his step children and playing pranks on his family and friends.  He especially enjoyed playing cribbage and showing off his woodpecker tattoo.

In addition to his parents, Woody was predeceased by his brother Gerald, wife Jacqualine Burgess Judson, and stepson Brian Burgess.  He is survived by his special partner in crime, Mary Charrier of Newport; brother Henry Judson and wife Debby of Berlin, NH; three step children, Ryan Burgess of Albion, Maribeth York and husband Lionel, of Winslow,  Bradley Thibodeau of Carmel; five step-grandchildren, Jace Burgess, Joshua and Ethan Burgess, and Devin and Desiree Bettencourt, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Woody had a soft spot for children with special needs.  One of his greatest joys was fund raising for The Pine Tree Camp.

A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.

If people wish they may donate in his memory to the Pine Tree Society at: https://www.pinetreesociety.org/
