WATERVILLE — Kalli Thompson scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Waterville girls basketball team past Maine Central Institute 73-62 on Monday night.

Kiera Gilman scored a game-high 19 points for Waterville.

Paige St Pierre had 11 assists for the Panthers as well.

Hannah Robinson and Danielle Dow each scored 14 points to lead the Huskies.

 

GARDINER 56, WINTHROP 45: Gardiner pulled away from Winthrop in the third quarter, turning a two-point halftime lead into 12 points, en route to the victory.

Lizzy Gruber scored a game-high 15 points for the Tigers. Megan Gallagher added 10 points and Savannah Brown and McKenna Johnson finished with seven points apiece for Gardiner.

The Ramblers, meanwhile, had three double-figure scorers, paced by Lydia Rice’s 14 points. Sage Fortin contributed 13 points, including four 3-pointers, while Maddie Perkins hit 8 of 10 free throws and finished with 10 points. The trio combined to score 37 of Winthrop’s 45 points.

MCI 69, WATERVILLE 48: Senior forward Gavin McArthur scored 19 points to lead the Huskies in Pittsfield.

Liam Von Oesn scored a game-high 26 points for Waterville.

 

MESSALONSKEE 79, ERSKINE 65: Matt Parent scored 28 points to lead Messalonskee in Oakland.

James Smith scored 16 points, while Alden Doran added 12 points for Messalonskee.

Dan Page led Erskine with 15 points, while Liam Persetto, Logan Terney and Kaden Porter each added 13 points for Erskine.
