To the person who nearly killed me on the road last month: You were texting while driving your rack truck on Route 3, Bolton Hill in Augusta. You crossed the centerline and forced me into the breakdown lane and a foot from the guardrail. I had nowhere to go as I watched you continue to drift towards me. When we passed you missed hitting me by 2 feet!
Is a text worth seriously injuring or killing someone? Is it worth going to prison? We all are continuously reminded to be hands-free in our vehicles. I hope this incident will be a lesson for everyone not to handle a phone while driving.
