Republicans must vote along with Democrats and Independents for impeachment if they are to regain their party’s luster. They gradually lost this luster in the last 25 years or so. It stumps me profoundly that they would ignore a fantastic opportunity to regain this luster when in my opinion they are saving and excusing former President Trump yet again. It is very wrong and delusional. Most people have gradually given up on him as a force for any good whatsoever. If the deaths and destruction that Trump instigated at our Capitol did nothing to jar Republicans to sanity, than nothing will.
Key for sure along with impeachment is that we should never allow him to ever again hold any leadership position. Senators, for once be aware of the oath you promised to keep. Democracy depends on you being honest to us and yourself.
