WINTHROP – Cheryl Lynne (Pray) Neptune, 64, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta.

Cheryl was born May 31, 1956, in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Kenneth and Janet (House) Pray Jr.

She graduated from Winthrop High School in 1974 and went on to pursue a career with Key Bank for over 35 years retiring in 2011 due to health reasons. She married Skip Neptune on March 5, 1988, in Winthrop.

Cheryl was a strong supporter of and actively involved in Special Olympics where she volunteered as a coach for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Skip, and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Neptune, his wife Ashley, and their son, Kaden, of Mt. Vernon, daughter, Michelle Neptune and son, Nick Neptune, both of Winthrop; sister, Lisa Stevens and her husband Donny of North Monmouth; aunt, Valerie Coffin of North Monmouth; mother-in-law, Harriett Neptune of Sidney; stepfather, Marvin Richards of Winthrop; best friend, Cindy White; beloved dog, Beau; and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
