CLIFTON, N.J. – Eleanor (Caltagirone) Zarcone, 84, of Clifton, N.J. died on Jan. 25, 2021. Born and raised in Passaic, she later lived in Paramus and was a Clerk in the Tax Office at the Paramus Borough Hall. She was also a member of Paramus Fire Company 3 Ladies Auxiliary. Ellie and her husband, Michael V. Zarcone, Sr. were the owners of Sunset Camps located on North Pond in Smithfield, which included 18 cabins, public sandy beach, snack bar, boat rentals and more.

Predeceased by her husband Mike in January 2006, Ellie continued to manage the business with the assistance of her son, Michael V. Zarcone Jr. and his wife, Shery, until the business was sold in November 2016. At that time, she moved back to New Jersey to be closer to her family.

Ellie was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Albert Caltagirone. She is survived by two loving children, Mike, Jr. of Hollywood, Fla. and Michele Marinelli of Piscataway, N.J.; six cherished grandchildren; four adored great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
