Eleanor P. Rollins

SKOWHEGAN – Eleanor P. Rollins, 90, of Skowhegan, passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Jan. 22, 2021.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1930 in Farmington.

The daughter of Arthur Kinney and Esther (Davis) Kinney.

She married John C. Rollins on Feb. 14, 1949 in New Sharon. He passed in 2008.

Eleanor and John used to own the J. C. Rollins and Sons business in Skowhegan. She had a shop in that building called the Peace Pipe. Eleanor spent a good part of her life as a homemaker.

She enjoyed camping, going for rides, doing puzzles, crocheting, making crafts and spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Skowhegan.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Harvey and her husband Andy of Arkansas, four sons, Tom Rollins and his wife, Betty of Smithfield, Gary Rollins and his wife, Darline of Skowhegan, Russell Rollins and his wife, Rose of Smithfield, John Rollins and his wife, Vietta of Anson; one sister, Shirley Adams and her husband, Sherman of Farmington, one brother, Randy Kinney and his wife, Doris of New Sharon; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father; one son, John Arthur Rollins; two sisters, Dorothy Redlevski, and Beverly Porter, two brothers, Lionel Kinney and Carroll Kinney.

Graveside service will be held later in the spring.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
