BELGRADE – Donald E. Bridgham, 86, died on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Portland on Feb. 12, 1935, the son of the late Merle and Ruth (Harmon) Bridgham.

He married his wife, Hilda E. (Bancroft) Bridgham and began his 22 year career in the Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force, they returned to Maine where he worked at Keyes Fiber in Waterville and later taught electronics at Kennebec Valley Technical College. He earned two bachelor’s degrees.

After retirement, Don and Hilda traveled and wintered in Florida where they spent the golden years of their lives. Donald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Hilda E. (Bancroft) Bridgham and two sisters, Nancy MacDonald and Eleanor Lanzillo.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth E. Bridgham and wife Rochelle of Mt. Vernon, Cindy S. Boucher and her husband Ronald of Vassalboro, Scott D. Bridgham and his wife Jamie of Oregon, and Carrie Boudway of West Gardiner.

There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 11 a.m. in the Kling Cemetery, West River Rd., Augusta.

Arrangements have entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.
