Michael J. Moore

AUGUSTA – Michael J. Moore, 71, of Woodside Road, Augusta, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough, after a brief illness.

Mike was a loving father and a great friend to many. Anyone who knew him loved his genius wit, his fast comebacks, his “smoke” voice expressions, and his passion of riding on two wheels.

Mike “The Mayor” was employed as a sales/delivery driver by Paul Blouin Performance in Augusta for over 15 years. He took pride in his work and liked to say that he “delivered dreams”. He was previously employed by General Motors Corporation for 14 years.

Mike had a love for woodworking, always creating beautiful pieces, and he worked in construction for many years.

He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years where he sponsored, befriended, and inspired many. Mike was very compassionate, always willing to lend an ear and help others.

Surviving are brothers Dale, David, and Clay; a daughter, Amanda Bockoven, a son, Steven Collier; three grandchildren, Jackson Osteen, Mara Hartwell and Dustin Collier; nieces, Karie Bradshaw and Tatum Smith; and his best friends, Carol Lagassey, and Dustin Gay. Mike also leaves behind many close friends, and “Buddy” Newman, the family dog.
