When solar arrays are built, they cover a good deal of land. I suggest a way of looking at the issue.
Big-box stores and the “plazas” around them have already taken up a lot of acreage. Covering the roofs of all these buildings with solar panels would produce a lot of electricity, without taking any more land out of use. It would also lessen the demands of all those shopping centers for electricity.
