The Noonday Concert Series will feature Don Pride at noon on Friday, March 5, through March 17.
Pride will share his love of jazz and classical guitar. He’ll demonstrate how to play both nylon string finger-style and steel string electric guitar with a pick. He’ll also play a short piece on each instrument.
He is noted for having the ability to play a wide variety of styles on the guitar. He presents classical guitar concerts throughout the United States, is the leader of the Don Pride Band, and is the guitarist for the Portland Jazz Orchestra.
He has been teaching for over 30 years and enjoys teaching in many different musical styles. He accepts students of all ages and levels of ability and is known for his enthusiasm for teaching and his sense of humor.
