Theresa R. Taylor

SKOWHEGAN – Theresa R. Taylor, 83, passed into the arms of the Lord, March 1, 2021, at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Skowhegan.

Theresa was born Oct. 26, 1937, to Lionel (Jesse) and Elizabeth (Pickie) Beauford.

She graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1955.

Theresa married Elwood Taylor, together they had one son.

Theresa had many hobbies, some were collecting gems, painting, golf, travel, puzzles and going to the fair.

She loved holidays and spending time with family, especially her great-grandchildren, doing puzzles, coloring and playing ball in the yard.

Theresa was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Theresa started her work career at Redington Hospital as a teen, as an adult she was employed by Medwed Footwear, Maine State Unemployment Office of Skowhegan and Mid-State Machine of Winslow before making full circle back to Redington Fairview General Hospital before retiring.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Lionel and Mary Elizabeth (Dugas) Beauford, sister, Phyllis M. Gordon and ex-husband, Elwood Taylor.

Theresa is survived by her son, Mark Taylor and wife April of Cornville, granddaughter, Jessica Dionne, husband Lance and their children Jakobe, Jada and Jillian of Skowhegan; grandson, Joshua Taylor, wife Amanda and their children, Madalyn and Avah of Fairfield; brothers, Gerald Beauford and wife Sheila of Skowhegan, Raymond Beauford and wife Dea of Skowhegan, sister, Ruth Morgan of Skowhegan, several nieces and nephews, plus her special friend, Ronald Bosworth.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cedar Ridge Nursing Home of Skowhegan for their excellent care of Theresa.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family’s convenience
