Jacqueline Bourque

AUGUSTA – Jacqueline Bourque, 95, of Augusta passed away on March 1, 2021 after a short illness. She was born Dec 31, 1925 in Winslow, daughter of Edouard and Felixine (LaRochelle) Roy.

She worked for several years at Keyes Fiber before she married Wilfred Bourque on May 18, 1946. She was a homemaker, making cakes and doing sewing to help bring in extra money. She was a communicant of St Francis de Sales Church of Waterville.

She is survived by her two sons, Fern and his wife Denise of Winslow, Stephen and his wife Lois of Whitefield, as well as a son-in-law Terry Anthony of Florida. Also by grandchildren William Bourque, Lynn Berry and husband Mitchell, Justin and Sarah Kidder, Elizabeth Heath and husband Joseph, George Bourque, Hellen Bourque, and Judy Conn and husband Tom. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Reanna and Blake Heath, Estelle Ford, Amberlyn, Wyatt and Zeeland Conn; several nieces and nephews; as well as a sister-in-law, Ruth Bourque. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred; her daughter Rosemary; her sisters Jeanne LaBonte, Estelle Duquette, Theresa Rossignol and brother Larry Roy.

At her request there will be no visitation and no funeral. A private committal service will be held in the spring. A celebration of life will be held at a date and time yet to be determined.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Jefferson Green, Hillside Terrance, Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation and Constellation Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.

As Jackie herself would say “don’t grieve, just shake a leg and get going.”
