I received my first COVID vaccine shot Feb. 27 at the Togus VA drive-through clinic at the Brunswick Executive Airport. The multiple lanes kept wait time to a very acceptable minimum while shots were given in a cold February rain.
As a retired VA Togus employee I might be a little biased when I say that the VA staff went above and beyond in their service to veterans. But I don’t think so. They stood in the rain checking people in, directing where to drive, giving out the shots and monitoring afterward.
The Togus fire chief was present with EMTs to handle any adverse shot reactions. We were instructed to sound our car horns if anything did not feel right.
The Togus VA staff are the best. They have the veterans best interest in mind at all times and it shows. On this wet winter day they were all smiles at every stage of the process. Thank you all.
