SOUTH PORTLAND — New Ventures Maine will offer “My Next Career Move,” a free five-week interactive online class, from 11 a.m. to noon from Thursday, March 25, through Thursday, April 22. The registration deadline for this free course is Monday, March 22.

Using New Ventures Maine’s career development model, a participant’s skills, interests and experiences will be reviewed and will be related to career options. High-growth job fields will be identified, education and training options will be explored, and resumes will be strengthened for a targeted job search.

“In My Next Career Move, you will have the chance to do both self-exploration and career exploration, find matching career pathways, and develop a plan that will keep you moving forward,” said Melinda Wildes, facilitator for the class, according to a news release from New Ventures Maine.

Pre-registration is required. There is no fee for the class. For more information or to register, go to newventuresmaine.org.

For more information or to obtain accommodations to participate in the class, contact Wildes at 207-593-7942, or email melinda.wildes@maine.edu.

Graduates of My Next Career Move are eligible to apply for the GEN Scholarship to be used at any University of Maine System campus, any Maine Community College, or the University of New England.
