Faye Elizabeth Hale

AUGUSTA – Faye Elizabeth Hale, 91, passed away March 14, 2021. Faye was born in South Pitsburgh, Tenn. on May 16, 1929 to the late Arthur and Mildred Niles.

Faye graduated in the class of 1947 from Stephens High School in Rumford where she was in the National Honor Society and then graduated from Wilfred Beauty Academy in Newark, N.J. in 1948. She married William Hale on August 21, 1954 in a home ceremony performed by her uncle, Rev. Frederick Niles.

Faye worked for 22 years for the Augusta School lunch program. She enjoyed crafts and sports and taking bus trips.

Surviving are her sons, Douglas A. Hale and his wife Rose, Steven L. Hale and his wife Lucinda; her grandchildren Scott, Richard, Dean and Ashlee; her great-grandchildren Adeline and Lucien; her sister Marguerite, her brother-in-law David and his wife Nancy, and her sister-in-law June.

Faye was predeceased by her husband William F. Hale; her son William A. Hale and his wife Marie; and her sister Marilyn and her husband Norman.

Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Private services will be held this summer.

Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the Lord will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won’t become weary. They will walk and won’t grow tired.
