AUGUSTA — Gilbert Elementary School reported two positive COVID-19 cases on Wednesday afternoon.
Principal Sarah Landry said in a letter to the school community the two cases are not related. According to the letter, the individuals did not experience symptoms prior to testing positive.
There are no close contacts from within the school. Landry said the individuals were already quarantining after being exposed to COVID-19 outside of school.
“These cases are not related to any previous positive cases,” Landry said.
