Thank you all! With so many negative feelings in the world I would like to write this positive letter of thanks to all.
My husband had his two COVID vaccine shots at Togus VA, and I had mine at the Civic Center in Augusta.
What a great well-planned job both places executed. Thank you to Dr. Shah and staff, nurses, doctors, National Guard, businesses, organizations and our citizens who have worked tirelessly. Thank you to Gov. Mills, who has had such hard decisions to make to protect our citizens. Sadly she is criticized always by some who always knew better.
Finally thank you to Mr. Casey, who recently wrote of his disgust — mine as well — of the person who is showing his freedom of speech with defiance and vulgarity (“Obscene signs say a lot about owner,” letter, March 14). I have not met anyone who loves wearing a mask, but most people do it to try and rid our nation of this virus.
