The University of Maine at Augusta and New England Publication Health Training Center, in coordination with Maine Public Health Association, will next week host a webinar featuring a panel of experts on oral health equities, and inequities, in Maine.
“Health Equity Dialogue: Maine Oral Health Equity” will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 2.

The Health Equity Dialogues will continue its topical discussions around the concept that health equity is the justice principle – that everyone should have an equal opportunity to achieve health. April’s event will provide a panel of experts on dental and oral health care and equity in Maine.
Panelists include: Jennifer Crittenden, Ph.D., assistant professor of social Work and associate director for UMaine Center on Aging; Becca Matusovich, executive director for partnership for Children’s Oral Health; Kalie Hess, associate director for partnership for Children’s Oral Health; Kellie Stanhope, professional clinical teacher II at UMA’s Dental Health Programs, and in association with From the First Tooth; and Kathryn Walker, assistant professor of dental health at UMA.
The Health Equity Dialogues is meant to convene and connect scholars, community members, public health professionals, and healthcare practitioners across disciplinary divides and siloes to work on high-priority community health challenges in Maine.
