Anna E. Churchill

MADISON – Anna E. Churchill, 77, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Woodruff, S.C. while visiting family. Anna was born on April 23, 1943 in New Sharon; a daughter of Clinton Roy Harris and Flora Ethel Deane. She was educated in local schools. She worked for many years in the local shoe industry, Bass Shoe and then New Balance. She later became a certified nurses assistant and was employed at Maplecrest in Madison and at Cedar Ridge in Skowhegan. After she retired, she worked part time at the Little Red Store in Madison. Anna enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, crocheting, doing crafts and going to lawn sales. She especially loved being with her family and friends. For all of the things Anna did in her life, she is best remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and good friend. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie Churchill Sr.; a son, Ronald Oliver; her parents; and several siblings, Dean Harris, Jessie Dill, Eda Wilson, Eugene Harris, Joseph Harris, Myra Harris, Elwood Harris and Nellie Harris. Anna is survived by her sons, Russell Oliver and Randy Oliver, her stepchildren, Cheryl Churchill, Charlie Churchill Jr., Leslie, Adams and Garth Churchill as well as their families. She is also survived by her siblings, John Harris and Rosemary Dion; her grandchildren, Chris, Amanda, Shayne, Desarey and Stephanie; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Anna will be held on Saturday, April 3 at 1 p.m., Malachi House Ministries, 31 Madison Ave., Madison. The burial will be held later in the spring, date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
