Roger D. Caret

READFIELD – Roger D. Caret, 51, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2021 at his home in Readfield.

He was born on August 29, 1969 in Augusta, the son of Roger E. and Lillian M. Caret.

A graduate of Winthrop High School and lifelong resident of the area, Roger was well known and loved in the community. Many can attest to his charm, wit and his unique sense of humor. He was a wonderful, loving husband to his wife, Charlene, and was always willing to help out anyone in their times of need.

Roger grew up an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and enjoying the Maine Woods. Roger was a gifted singer and guitar player; a passion he passed onto his children. In his later years, he took joy in the simple pleasures life had to offer. He enjoyed four wheeling with his wife in Jackman, sitting outside enjoying the company of his wife and mother chatting and watching the birds, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time in his man cave playing pool.

Roger is predeceased by his father, Roger E. Caret.

Survived by his mother Lillian Caret; his wife Charlene Caret; his sister, Andrea McKay; his three children, Kayla Driscoll and husband Cody, Kyle Caret and Cassie Caret, his stepchildren, Katie Struck and husband Jake, Kristina Kennerson and husband Roland and Hunter Struck; his six grandchildren, Aubrey, Paisley, Kinsley, Liam, Cody Jr., and Wyatt; many close cousins; and many more close friends and family Roger held dear to his heart, including his work family at Manchester Motors. Roger will also be missed by his cat, Chicken, who was always by his side begging him for treats.

A service will be held this summer. A date and location will be announced at a later date on the Roger D. Caret Memorial Page- https://www.facebook.com/groups/rogercaretmemorial.
