MILFORD, Conn. – George W. Purington, 84, of Milford, Conn. Born Dec. 9, 1936 in Gardiner to Charles Purington and Gertrude Straight Purington.
George was an incredible husband, father, grandfather. He was known for his incredible sense of humor and story telling. He was a dedicated provider and loved spending time with loved ones, hunting, crossword puzzles.
George leaves behind his beloved wife Claire of 61 years and children, Natalie and Mark Purington; grandchildren, Tanya, Todd and Justin Parker and Ashley Purington; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald and Steve Purington, sister Judith (Perry) Purington Moore and predeceased sister, Cheryl Purington King; many much loved nieces and nephews.
