Emma E. Mosher

FARMINGTON – Emma E. Mosher, 91 of Farmington, was born Nov. 27, 1929, and passed peacefully on April 4, 2021. Emma was the widow of Herbert C. Mosher Sr. who passed away in 2018. She was most happy when her family would stop in for a visit. It gave her great comfort to get a hug from someone she loved. She was a loving wife, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Emma’s family brought her great joy and was the source of immense pride.

Through 69 years of marriage to Herbert and raising their five children, Emma held many different jobs; including making shoes for GH Bass, providing loving childcare for many kids inside and outside of her own family, running her own fruit and vegetable stand, to finally finding her true passion; Emma’s Country Lawn Sale, buying and selling second-hand items. Herbert “Herbie” C. Mosher Sr. was the love of Emma’s life. He was devoted to her and she to him. They were married for 69 years setting a wonderful example for all the family to follow. Saturday nights were date-night and the family knew not to bother them. Knowing that Herbie and Emma are united again brings the family great comfort.

Emma loved her family, babies, old time country music, betting the horses at the fairs, scratching lottery tickets, eating red hot dogs, playing Beano and picking through lawn sales. She was always willing to be an auctioneer for a good cause and she helped out the FMH Auxiliary a number of times. Emma was always looking for the prize in a pile of hand me downs.

Mrs. Emma Mosher was predeceased by her loving husband Herbert C. Mosher Sr.; her parents Roland and Josephine Maxim; and her brothers Roland Maxim and Martin Maxim. Emma leaves behind a large family: Children, Stephen and Peggy Mosher, Buddy and Diane Mosher, Michael and Suzanne Mosher, DeAnna and Donald Ridley and Terry and Maureen Mosher; Grandchildren, Trisha Mosher, Toby and Robin Mosher, Tessa Mosher, Michelle and Joseph Nelson, Kristen and Mike Williams, Chad and Elizabeth Mosher, Hillary and Chad Whitney, Donald Jr. and Lynn Ridley, Darren and Tanya Ridley, Christina and Michael Whelpley, Harold Mosher, Charles Mosher, Oran Mosher, Robert Mosher, April Mosher, Jill Robinson and Ricky Robinson; Great-Grandchildren, Joshua Hine, Jacob Hine, Ryan Nelson, Caleb Mosher, Logan Mosher, Avery Whitney, Noah Mosher, Cassidy Rowe, Morgan Mosher, Anglee Brewer, Leah Ridley, Lindzee Ridley, Devin Ridley, Brittany Ridley, Krystie Ridley, Olivia and Colby Williams, Jaxon and Tyson Whelpley; Great-Great Grandchildren, Tucker Clements, Zoey Hine and Meadow Mosher; and many others who have been loved by this family.
