Joyce Bean Peary

NORTH ANSON – Joyce Bean Peary, 81, of North Anson, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 following a long illness. Joyce was born in Dead River Township, the daughter of Olof and Voneta Bean.

Joyce grew up in the Stratton area and she was a life-long resident of central Maine. She worked in several local businesses and most thoroughly enjoyed her time as a telephone operator at Somerset Telephone Company. Joyce loved everything about living in the natural beauty that Maine offers, including feeding birds and watching wildlife that frequently visited the yard that she and her husband Everett created. Her stories of growing up in rural Maine gave others a window into a simpler time and bygone lifestyle.

In retirement she spent many happy hours pursuing her hobby of painting, and she and Everett were able to enjoy trips visiting her son in Texas and brother in Hawaii. A generous and caring person, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents; and infant daughter, Kelly Quint.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Peary of North Anson; son, Stanley Quint and his wife Tiffany of Hockley, Texas and their children Nichole Maier and husband Joshua, and Sheila Dycaico and husband Mikko; daughter, Pamela Quint Ewing and husband Eric of Embden; son, Scott Quint and his wife Shannon of North Anson and their children Daltyn Quint and wife Amber and their two sons Landon and Kenton, Cassidy Quint, Liberty Chestnut, and Lauren Chestnut; sister, Anna Smart and husband Bill, brothers, Colby Bean and wife Arpa, and Harold Bean and wife LuAnn.

The family would like to thank the staff of Tissues Country Estates, Redington Fairview Oncology Clinic, Drs. Annette Goodman and Oto Prokop and their staff members for the compassionate care provided to Joyce during her later years.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
