Dorothy Eleanor (Piselli) Dumais

AUGUSTA – Dorothy Eleanor (Piselli) Dumais, 91, passed away peacefully at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Litchfield on April 6, 2021. She was born in Nonantum, Mass, on Oct. 23, 1929, the daughter of Giovanni and Dominica Piselli.

She was educated in Newton, Mass. schools. Dorothy married Reginald Dumais and they settled in Augusta. They enjoyed a long married life together until his passing in 2008.

Dorothy was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She had many close relatives and friends.

She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and a volunteer at MaineGeneral. She was a communicant of St. Michael Parish.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, “Reggie” of 55 years. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Connie, Vicky, Lucy, Red, Tony, Ralph and Larry.

She is survived by her children, Gail and her husband Jerry Gould of Windsor, Paul and his wife Kathleen of Maryland, Rita and her husband John Daggett Sr. of Litchfield and Connie and her husband Bob Felt of Scarborough; 12 grandchildren, Kristina, Kevin, John Jr., Nic, Ben, Kristen, Stephanie, Deborah, Sarah, Jeremiah, Micah and Jedidiah; six great-grandchildren, Tommy, Jack, Andy, Teagen, Jaeden and Joshua; one great-great-grandson, Bentley. She also leaves behind very special friends, Ken, Andy, Sannah, Pat and Cindy and many friends at the YMCA in Manchester.

We would like to thank MaineGeneral Hospice for all of their help, kindness and compassion that enabled us to keep our Mom home.

Due to COVID 19, there will be a funeral and graveside service at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, Maine.
