Michael A. Geroux Sr.

CHELSEA – Michael A. Geroux Sr., 64, of Eastern Avenue, died April 6, 2021 at his home after a period of ill health. He was born in Augusta on Feb. 3, 1957 the son of Merle E. Geroux and Annie (Bell) Geroux.

Mr. Geroux was a self-employed auto mechanic at Geroux’s Auto in Chelsea for many years.

Michael loved spending time with family. He was known to lend a helping hand to his customers or family in need. He took great care of his mother-in-law (Linda Pinkham) he will be missed dearly by many people, as he touched so many hearts. One of his favorite things was to go hunting with his sons and brothers. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, day trips on his motorcycle and day trips with family.

He was predeceased by his parents; and two nieces, Crystal and Melissa Allen.

Surviving is his wife, Laurie Geroux of Chelsea; three sons, Michael Geroux Jr., Matthew Geroux, Justin Geroux; two brothers, Timmy Geroux and Scott Geroux, both of Chelsea, three sisters, Brenda Sather, Merlene Allen and Melissa Geroux, of Chelsea; grandchildren, Natalie Chabot, MacKenzie Geroux, Tasha Geroux, Hunter Geroux, Devin Geroux, Bella Geroux, Stryker Geroux; great-grandchildren, Mason Geroux, Landon Geroux; several aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be no public visiting hours. A funeral service, following CDC guidelines, will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday April 29 at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta with Rev. Rick Stoops, officiating. Burial and committal prayers will follow at Allen Cemetery, in Chelsea.
