Madeline K. Clough

FARMINGDALE – Madeline K. Clough, died April 20, 2021, at the age of 95, at the Captain Lewis Residence. She was born in Palermo on Jan. 11, 1926, the daughter of Allen and Helen (Tobey) Mullins.

Madeline was a stay at home mom until her children could stay alone, then she went to work at Commonwealth Shoe in Gardiner where she worked for many years. She enjoyed reading recipes and was a wonderful cook; she enjoyed gatherings with her family on the holidays, and making her famous yeast rolls.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband Everett A. Clough; two brothers, Theodore and Ronald Mullins, and a sister Gloria Mullins.

Madeline is survived by two daughters, Sharon Hamlin and Pamela Nowell, brother Roger Mullins and his wife Lita of Dover Foxcroft; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, son-in-law, cousins and great-grandchildren.

Madeline will be missed by all of the people she encountered, asking them to call her “Grinny”, just like her grandchildren did.

We are all so glad we got sometime together before you left us, till we meet again mama.

The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice, nurses and doctor, minister Mike Longfellow and the staff at the Captain Lewis Residence.

A graveside service will be held on April 28 at 1 p.m. at the Sand Hill Cemetery, in Palermo, Maine.
