WEST GARDINER – Waldo E. Gilpatrick, 88, passed away peacefully at home April 17, 2021. Waldo was born in Van Buren, the son of Viola Fletcher and Verner E. Gilpatrick. He was a graduate of Bangor High School Class 1950.
Gil’ enjoyed all things ‘building,’ becoming a realtor in 1960, and serving as a Housing Specialist with the State of Maine Housing Authority and Bureau of Maine’s Elderly. He remodeled/built new over 30 homes around Central Maine, concluding his career at 82 years of age as CEO/Plumbing Inspector for West Gardiner.
He was predeceased by his second wife Rita Bergeron Baker and first wife Ruth Murch (Lane).
He is survived by his children, Sharon, Robin, Thomas, Lynn, their spouses; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; and his beloved partner of 14 years, Linda Bartolec.
A graveside service at Cherry Hill Cemetery, West Gardiner at 1:30 p.m. May 2, 2021.
