Michael Lee-State Farm Insurance Agent and Wendy’s on Main Street in Waterville have been in the midst of a sign war the last few days on Main Street.
According to the Waterville Wendy’s Facebook page, State Farm apparently started the exchange with a clever sign asking to start a sign war. On Wednesday, the State Farm sign read: “Khakis and buns are not soft like Wendy’s.”
He started it!

Sign wars are nothing new. There’s even a Facebook group with over 20,000 members that posts these regularly.
The State Farm insurance agency has a history of putting up clever signs over the years, many of them focusing on khaki pants.
