SIDNEY — Maine Arts Academy plans to hold an open house for prospective students at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 2, and at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 17, at 11 Goldenrod Lane.
Those who attend can learn about this free public high school for the arts and tour the lakeside campus.
The academy has students from approximately 80 communities this year, and it offers transportation to a number of bus hubs. Students can immerse themselves in the arts and excel in education at the academy. They can take arts classes such as Literature as Film, From Book to Stage, Introduction to Video, Sample Dance, and Music History, in addition to academic classes such as the History of Math and Science, Personal Finance, Journalism, Spanish and French.
