Anna M. (Roy) Littlejohn

MADISON – Anna M. (Roy) Littlejohn, 62, flew to be at peace with her fellow angels on April 24, 2021, while at home and surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Anna was born in Skowhegan Maine on Feb. 12, 1959, the fifth of nine children, the daughter of the late Earl and Arline Littlejohn (Cody). Shortly after graduating from Madison High School class of 1978, she married her longtime love and father of her five children, Gary Roy.

She spent her life taking care of and looking after her loved ones. She enjoyed wearing many hats and being a loving mother and homemaker in many different professions that included being a proud business owner of Roy’s Disposal Service for 25 years. Following the sale of the disposal business, she entered the healthcare field as a CNA working in local nursing homes and as a caregiver for adults with intellectual disabilities and most recently was a friendly and welcoming fixture assisting her son at Kennebec Ice Kreamery and Somerset Disposal.

Anna was a faithful servant of St. Sebastian Catholic Church for many years and was the member of the Daughters of Isabella for several years. During these years she enjoyed participating in putting on many church suppers and gatherings. She enjoyed spending Saturday mornings spoiling her grandchildren with Dunkin breakfasts, teaching them homemade family recipes and remodeling a doll house with them. She loved attending the 10-mile yard sale every spring with her sister and her daughters. Anna was known for having the greenest of green thumbs. Anna later became a believer of the Pentecostal faith and was a faithful attendee at as many church events that life would allow. Anna’s family was her world; her children were her rocks and her grandchildren, her foundation. She would always welcome one with a kind word and a welcome smile.

She is predeceased by both parents and lifetime friend and father of her children, Gary Roy. She is survived by her sister, Darline Rollins and husband Gary of Skowhegan; sister, Marlene Littlejohn of Skowhegan; sister, Theresa Dickey of Skowhegan; sister, Tina Dubois and husband David of Arizona; sister, Suson Littlejohn of Skowhegan; brother, David Littlejohn of Skowhegan; brother, Hugh Littlejohn of Dover Foxcroft; and brother, Keven Littlejohn of Portland. Her five children; Elizabeth Seavey and Heath of Waterville, and their children, Darius, Kloe, Jesse, and Gavin; Joseph Roy and his son, Trenton, of Norridgewock; Christopher Roy and his fiancé, Carla Franzose, of Madison; Michelle Roy and her daughter, Mackenzie, of Oakland; and Amanda Roy and her fiancé Leslie Wood and his daughter Lilly of Lincoln, as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

The family would like to express the outmost gratitude and appreciation to the Alfond Center of Health Medical Teams specifically the Critical Care Unit, 3 West and 2 West for taking such wonderful care of other Mother during her final days and allowing us to take her ‘home’ where she was able to be with all her loved ones during her final moments.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 30, at 4-7 p.m., at Giberson Funeral Home in Madison. A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021, at Kennebec Ice Kreamery, in Madison at 1pm, with an ice cream social to follow.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com .
