Richard Everett Lynds

PITTSFIELD – Richard Everett Lynds, 80, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at a Pittsfield hospital on May 1, 2021.

He was born in Kingfield, Maine, on July 25, 1940, to Ralph and Cora Lynds. He grew up and attended schools in North Anson and graduated from Anson Academy. Rick was a barber by trade and had shops in Gardiner and Winthrop during his career. Rick also bred, raised and trained Arabian horses for many years. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and kayaking with friends and family. He will be remembered for being a hard worker, for his generosity and having a good sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his siblings: Frances Brown, Herbert Lynds, Maxine Smith and Jeanelle Creamer.

He is survived by his sisters: Glynes Cooley and Birdina (William) Goodwin; many nieces and nephews; and by good friends, Dean Homstead and Eydie Breed.
