CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Paul Edward Anderson Jr., 70, passed away on April 30, 2021, after a two month illness in Cape Coral, Fla. Paul was formerly of Wildwood Road, Augusta and Saco.

Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 14, 1950, to Paul E. Anderson and Joan (White) Anderson.

Paul grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, graduated high school in 1968, and went on to receive his. B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering in 1972 from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Ga.

His entire career revolved around the Transportation Industry where he held several managerial positions. He spent many years with Merrill Transport of Portland and then with Superior Carriers of Scarborough.

His greatest ambition was to manage his own trucking business; L&P Transport, which he thoroughly enjoyed from 1998 until his retirement in 2012.

He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Anderson, and his wife’s parents; James and Vera Burke of Gardiner.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 43 years; Loretta (Burke) Anderson; two daughters; Julie and Kristie and their respective spouses; two granddaughters, Marissa and Eliza. In addition he leaves two brothers-in-law, Harald Burke and Arnold Burke, both of Ft. Myers, Fla. He leaves his dad, Paul Anderson and his sister Barbara Anderson of Allentown, Pa.
