LEWISTON — In commemoration of the month of May, the Knights of Columbus Prince of Peace Parish plans to host a special Mass at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul, 122 Ash St.
The parish includes councils from Lewiston, Sabattus, Lisbon and Auburn.
“We will celebrate many different days, including Mother’s Day and the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord,” said Normand Bisson of Council #12652 (Lewiston), who also serves as membership director for the Maine State Council of the Knights of Columbus, according to a news release from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.
For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be livestreamed at princeofpeace.me, the parish Facebook page and the parish YouTube channel.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9, and the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is on Thursday, May 13.
