FARMINGDALE – Dennis Earl Knutson, 78, of Farmingdale, died Friday April 30, 2021 at the Captain Lewis Residence. Dennis was born in Chicago, Ill. on August 13, 1942, the son of Roy and June (Werlin) Knutson.

Dennis had over 20 years of sales and management experience in the automotive industry. He served four years as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Navy and he attended Bradley University where he completed courses in auto engineering.

Dennis was an avid reader, enjoyed classic rock especially ZZtop, loved to dance and never gave up on his beloved Chicago Bears. But most of all Dennis loved being surrounded by his friends and family.

Dennis is survived by his son, Brandon D. Knutson and his wife Leah Cote; sister Diana Laux, brother Gary Knutson; grandson Nathan Purington; and devoted friends Bill and Heather Longfellow

He will forever be missed and in our hearts.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 24, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m., at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner. Burial will follow at the niche wall at the OLD Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
