NEWPORT – William Raymond Gallison, 50, died unexpectedly May 11, 2021 at his Camp Benson Road residence. He was born March 31, 1971 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a son of Terry and Karen (Sawtelle) Gallison. He graduated from Nokomis Regional High, Class of 1989 and Eastern Maine Technical College, Class of 1991 with an Associate’s Degree in Business. He was currently employed as a supervisor at Johnny’s Selected Seeds in Winslow.
Bill was an avid Red Sox fan and attended many games. He enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, golf and was a craft beer enthusiast. He will be remembered for a “wicked sense of humor” and enjoyed being a jokester. He was also a past member of Meridian Splendor Lodge #49 AF & AM.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 27 years, Melissa (King) Gallison; two sons, Zachary and Jonathan Gallison; his parents, Terry and Karen Gallison; his brother Mark Gallison; his father and mother-in-law, Donald and Cheryl King, all of Newport; a sister-in-law and husband Michelle and Patrick Kelley of Freedom; many aunts, uncles, cousins; a niece and nephew.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with the Rev. Michelle St. Cyr officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written condolences at http://www.CrosbyNeal.com
