Carlton L. Foster Sr.

SMITHFIELD – Carlton L. Foster, Sr., 71, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2021 at his home in Smithfield with his wife by his side. Carlton was born Dec. 2, 1949 in Madison, son of the late Carlton R and Ruth A (Bubier) Foster. He graduated from Skowhegan Area High School Class of 1968. He was a retiree from Hight Chevrolet/Buick/ GMC Skowhegan after working 39 years. Carlton enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, working on cars and mud running in the late 80’s Carlton was predeceased by his sisters, Loretta Tracy and Carla Paradis both from Mercer, as well as his brother-in-law Gerald Stevens, Sr. of Smithfield.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen (Damren) Foster; his three children: daughter Kelli and husband Michael Roy of Norridgewock, son Carlton and wife Helen Foster, Jr. of Yorktown Heights, N.Y. and daughter Kitti Rondeau and fiancé Maurice Caron of Merrimack, NH.; his eight grandchildren, Amanda Roy of Lewiston, Michael Roy II and Abigail Roy both of Norridgewock; Jacob, Michael and Robert Foster of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; Athena Rondeau (fiancé Christopher Piccolo) of Merrimack, N.H. and Alexis Rondeau (partner Timothy Thorpe) of Nashua, N.H; his sisters, Tina Stevens of Smithfield, Lucy Foster and Lottie Stratton (partner Corey Hewey) of Mercer, brothers-in-law, Dana Tracy, Sr of Mercer and James Paradise of Wilton; Aunt Maxine Collins, Wilton, Uncle Joseph Storer; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.The family would like to express our deepest thank you to the Maine General Hospice for all of their care. To all the nurses and PC girls who helped with his care to make his last months and days as comfortable and peaceful. A special thank you to Linda, RN and Erika, PC. Private family service is set for May 29, 2021
