Obviously Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the House Republican leader, is not able to speak by himself (“House Republicans push Trump critic Liz Cheney from No. 3 position,” May 12). Give him a top hat, a monocle and call him Charlie! He sits on Trump’s knee like Edgar Bergen’s favorite dummy and lets him pull the strings.
