WATERVILLE — Rylee Gilbert had three hits, including a home run and two doubles, to lead the Waterville softball team to an 18-6 win over Oceanside on Friday.

Abby Williams had four hits for the Purple Panthers (5-4), while Savanna Cormier had three doubles. Gilbert earned the win in the circle for Waterville, striking out 14 batters.

Grace Pratt had two hits for the Mariners.

 

GARDINER 4, MARANACOOK 2: Lainey Cooley smacked a triple and Liv Tyler added a double as the Tigers beat the Black Bears in Gardiner.

Grace Deering earned the win in the circle for Gardiner.

Shylah Woodford had two singles and Kayleigh Kubicki had two singles for Maranacook.

 

ERSKINE 4, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: Chiara Mahoney had a double and two RBIs to lead the Eagles to a win over the Panthers in South China.

MacKenzie Kutniewski had two hits for Erskine (3-5). Hannah Huff struck out seven batters and earned the win in the circle for the Eagles.

 

LAWRENCE 9, WINSLOW 8: Taylor Wilkie had two hits, including a double, to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Black Raiders in Fairfield.

Jazmin Johnson had three hits, while Kaylee Elkins and Jade Sullivan each added two hits for Lawrence (10-2).

Emma Michaud had a home run for Winslow (3-6). Karlie Ramsdell, Lilly Harvey and Lacey Sillantoa each had two hits. Sillantoa added a double.

ERSKINE 4, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: Nick Barber had two hits to lead the Eagles to a win over the Panthers in South China.

Tristan Anderson struck out two and earned the win on the mound for Erskine (6-2).

Blake Morrison had two hits, including a double, for Medomak.

 

MADISON 5, TELSTAR 2: The Bulldogs (2-6) rode their starting pitcher the entire game en route to a victory over the Rebels (4-7) on Friday in Bethel.

Bryce Willette went the full seven innings striking out nine batters and walking just three in the win for Madison. Willette also singled twice and drove in two runs, while his teammate Quin Cornfurth earned a single and a double in the win.

Telstar’s Cain Shatzer struck out seven batters in the loss while also singling three times at the plate.

 

MONMOUTH 8, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: The Mustangs (9-1) took the lead in the first inning and never looked back in their win over the Phoenix (1-4) on Friday in Monmouth.

Monmouth Academy scored twice in the bottom of the first inning and never let up the lead Friday. Hayden Fletcher and Cam Armstrong both notched two hits a piece in the win for Monmouth Academy, while the Mustangs used three pitchers, including Armstrong, to take the victory.

Isaac Parker singled twice and took the loss on the mound for Spruce Mountain.

LAWRENCE 3, WINSLOW 0: Ryan Bourque had two hits to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Black Raiders in Fairfield.

Nate Grard had a hit and and RBI for Lawrence (7-3). Zach Nickerson earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs.

 

OCEANSIDE 5, WATERVILLE 1: Gage Hubbard had a double for the Purple Panthers, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Mariners in Waterville.

Joe Hamelin had two hits for Waterville (4-5).

Nathan Coombs had two hits, including a double, for Oceanside (5-7).

Winslow falls to 6-5.
