ATHENS – Linea “Lindy” M. Foss, 88 passed away quietly on May 21, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Facility in Skowhegan.

She was born in Hartland, Maine on Dec. 7, 1932, the daughter of Ivar and Sofie Pearson.

She grew up in Athens, Maine, and graduated from Athens Academy in 1950.

She later married Wendall Foss of Athens, Maine and they raised their two children, Nicki and Peter on their farm.

She was a mail carrier for more than 18 years, both in Maine and in Florida where she would spend her winters at her home in Hobe Sound, Florida.

She enjoyed camping in her younger years and spending time on the coast of Maine. She also enjoyed painting and was proud of the many pictures that she accumulated through the years. She was a great cook and made the best lemon meringue pie and her almost famous coffee bread. She loved spending time with family attending family gatherings.

She was predeceased by her husband, Wendall Foss, her parents, Ivar and Sophie Pearson, brother, Ivar Pearson, and a sister, Ruth Susi. She is survived by her daughter, Nicki Michonski and her husband Bernie of Madison, Maine, her son, Peter Foss and his wife Lisa of Embden, Maine, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at 11 a.m., at the Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens, Maine.
