On June 8, Manchester voters have an opportunity re-elect two experienced, dedicated, thoughtful and knowledgeable select board members. Doug Ide and Dawn Kliphan each have served two terms on the Manchester board. Both Doug and Dawn have served with distinction on various local and regional committees and projects. Doug served on the long-range planning committee, Conservation Commission, and school board, and founded the Manchester Apple Festival. He has spearheaded several environmental projects including trail construction and the annual roadside cleanup. Dawn has served two terms on the select board, and has taken a particular interest education and infrastructure issues.

As a new selectman, I have learned a great deal from Doug and Dawn (and Paula Thomas and Bob Gasper). Manchester is fortunate to have a progressive, forward-thinking select board that functions with comity, cooperation, and compassion for Manchester. Together with the town staff, we have navigated the COVID situation, maintaining and strengthening town services, while holding the line on taxes and spending.

On June 8, please join me in re-electing Doug Ide and Dawn Kliphan the Manchester Board of Selectmen.
