Freeport Players presents an online premier show “Future … Present … Past — Three Short Comedies” by Maine playwright Elizabeth Guffey streaming from Friday, May 28, to Monday, June 30. The online production includes filmed intros and a special interview with the playwright, Elizabeth Guffey.
The Future: “Alien Autopsy:” A science fair project gets really, really interesting when two young students “autopsy” an alien body they created. Cast members are: Madeline Smith, Ian Smith, and Kate Smith; The Present: “I Love You:” There’s nothing like a DMV to stir up emotions. A man waiting for his number to be called is surprised by an unusual declaration from the woman sitting next to him. Cast members are: Carmela Castro and Henry Quintal; and The Past: “My Wife Thinks You’re Dead:” Jimmy’s at the bar, as usual, when an old flame turns up. 30 years later, is teen passion ever truly gone? Cast members are: Keith Anctil, Alison Guite, and David Wallace.

“Alien Autopsy is directed by Judy Lloyd, and both “I Love You” and “My Wife …” are directed by David Wallace. Sound, special effects, and video production are by Phil Chin. The playwright, Elizabeth Guffey of Pownal, is the former managing/artistic director of Freeport Players. She has been acting in, directing, producing, and writing plays for many years.
