Michael “Mike” D. Poulin

SKOWHEGAN – Michael “Mike” D. Poulin, 65, passed away May 28, 2021 at his home in Skowhegan surrounded by his family. He was born May 13, 1956 in Skowhegan, the son of Roland and Lorraine (Charrier) Poulin.

He was educated in the schools of Skowhegan and graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1974, then continued his education at Kennebec Valley Technical and graduated in 1984. On Dec. 27, 1976, he married Rebecca Serra in Skowhegan. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1977. He was an Army driver stationed in Germany. Mike was the owner of Canaan Cycle Parts for many years and worked as a mechanic for SAD 54, town of Skowhegan.

Mike was a member of the Lost Dutchman Mining Association, Central Maine Gold Prospectors, and a former member of United Bikers of Maine as well as the Skowhegan Sportsman Club. He enjoyed gold prospecting, traveling locally and nation-wide, motorcycling, hunting, fishing, camping, exploring new places, visiting museums and historic sites.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rebecca (Serra) Poulin of Skowhegan; daughter, Jessie Poulin and partner Bryan Legasse of Skowhegan, son, Garry Poulin and wife Tia of Canaan; granddaughter, Nyah Gunst of Skowhegan; two brothers, Roland Poulin and wife Laurie of Wilton, Ray Poulin of Sidney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Rd., Skowhegan ME 04976.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Mike’s memory to a charity of choice.
