Lucien “Lou” Joseph Guay

AUBURN – Lucien “Lou” Joseph Guay died on June 8, 2021, after a series of illnesses. He was born to Carmen and Cecile (Simoneau) Guay on Oct. 2, 1933.He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Imelda (Ratte) Guay. They have lived in Auburn their entire married life. He is also survived by his daughters Diane and her husband Don McCormack, Elaine Wickman and her partner Michael Lariviere and his son Ronald Guay and his wife Brenda.Lou is also survived by his grandchildren Melissa Bastian, Joseph McCormack, Gregory McCormack, Michael Wickman and Aaron Guay. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren.After being honorably discharged in 1954 from the United States Navy, the GI Bill provided him the opportunity to learn his trade, eventually establishing his successful business Motor Power Inc. He retired in 2003.A service to honor Lou’s life will be at Fortin Group Funeral Home 70 Horton St. Lewiston, Maine visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 15 with a celebration of life immediately following. Lou will be interred at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery in Augusta.
